Have a classroom of kids or want a silly yet challenging game for kids, then the Unwrap the Heart game might be the perfect match. The best thing about this game is that it you can put this game together in 5 - 10 minutes with items you might have already purchased for Valentine's Day.
What you need for Unwrap the Heart Game
Chocolate hearts wrapped in foil
A paper bag and pair of gloves per team
Kids wanting to have fun!
Divide up the Chocolate foil hearts in paper bags and place at 10 - 20 feet away and have the kids sit in lines facing each other. (Two teams works best, but you can have more.)
Divide the kids into teams and have them form a line.
Give the first person in line a pair of gloves / mittens.
Now Explain Unwrap the Heart Game:
Each person, starting with the first person in line, must put on the gloves and then pick up the bag filled with foil wrapped hearts.
They must then pull out a chocolate heart and cleanly unwrap the chocolate heart and place it in their mouth.
Once they have put the chocolate heart in their mouth, then they can take off the gloves and hand them to the next person in line / seated beside them.
The next person must then put the gloves on and repeat the task of getting the chocolate heart, unwrapping it, eating it and then pass the gloves and chocolates down the line. This continues until one team has all their team members Unwrap their Hearts.
The Team to do this first wins.
Variations / Way to Make the Game Harder:
Want to make this Unwrap the Heart game more difficult, we have some great ideas for you.
1. Mix Hershey's Kisses in with the Chocolate Hearts and limit the number of hearts in the bag to just a few more then the number of kids on each team.
2. Mix in Hershey's Kisses, plus don't let the kids look in the bag to find a heart. Hence they must feel around the bag to find the chocolate hearts.
3. Last challenge add Hershey's Kisses and then challenge some kids to Unwrap Chocolate Hearts and other Kids to Unwrap Chocolate Kisses. You can set this up so that every other child Unwraps a Heart and then a Kiss or set it up so that Boys unwrap Hearts and Girls unwrap Kisses.
No matter how you Unwrap the Chocolate, the kids are going to have fun!
Thanks - Brenda
