Baby Shower Magazine Game

The Baby Shower Magazine game is fun, fast and easy to play whether you have 10 or 30 guests at your baby shower.

First collect a variety of baby magazines for the game. These can come from the new mom or friends. The goal is to use existing magazines, rather than buy new baby magazines.

As a nice touch, you might want to consider giving the New Mom a subscription to a parenting magazine as a little gift after this baby shower game has been completed. It is a nice little surprise and it ties into the Shower Game very well. And this can be helpful with dealing with a new bundle of joy and Parenthood!

Now depending on how many baby magazines you get 5, 10 or 20 determine whether to play as teams or as individuals. Basically, you’ll want 2 magazines per person / team.

Now come up with a list of Baby items or types of Baby Photos that are commonly found in baby magazines.

Baby Items might include: Stroller, Crib, Baby Bottle, Diapers, etc…
Baby Photos could include Crying Baby, Baby in Bathtub, Baby with Dog, Baby Sleeping, Doctor and Baby, etc…

Now come up with 12 – 20 items on your list for the game.
Note: If you are playing in teams you’ll want enough items on the list so everyone can play at least twice.
Also if you get stuck, just page through the magazine for ideas.

Now once you have your lists and magazines you are ready to play so pool your guests together and let them know.

That you will be naming a Baby Item or Baby Photo Image and they (individuals or 1 player on the team) have to quickly page through the Baby Magazines in front of them to find that item or image.

The first person or team to find the Baby image and call it out – Gets a point.
The team or person with the most points at the end of the game wins.

This baby shower game is a good ice breaker game when played with teams and just a fun game that can be played during any baby shower.
